SCHOOLS TO BE EQUIPPED FOR DISABLED CHILDREN

MOSCOW (MN, RIA Novosti) - Moscow authorities intend to adapt children's education facilities to the needs of disabled students within the next four years, Olga Larionova, the head of Moscow Education department has announced.
"We plan to provide all the necessary equipment for children at specialist educational establishments within four years if state finances permit," she said. Larionova said also that 177 establishments of general education would be equipped for the purpose this year. The equipment includes special entrances, exits and elevators for paraplegic children, as well as special toilets.
According to sources, at least three additional education establishments in every district are to receive the appropriate equipment. The estimated budget is 50 million rubles.
